Lord grant me no crazy parents today.
not the ranters and ravers
crying of racism and wrongdoings.

Nor the real danger,
the ones you know beat their partners
at home in hidden places

No charmers or gimmickers
No sales people
No non stop ringing phone

Lord keep the crazies home today
leaving the children to contend with
while school stays a safe place
